  1. I had no idea when you apply for a truck driving job (in the lower 48) that some companies, if not all companies do a DOT work history check. I idea they merely investigated your driving record (accidents / tickets). What's the point in filling out an application when you lot can just give them your SSN and DL, let them make up one's mind if your worth information technology or non. I'thousand really concerned nigh this, for the simple fact that I've started a DOT driving job or 2, for a short fourth dimension, just to discover that it wasn't a good fit, and to not make my work history wait like crap, I've omitted these brusk gigs. This is a big fault, isn't it?

    My tape is spotless, merely my work history hasn't been the near consistent. I mean, how doe's anyone really know if the chore is a good fit, until you requite it a try, right?

  5. With all due respect I have a conflict here. Unless my book is already out of date the driver must list 10 years of prior employment. And sure they could take change the requirement simply as of july of 07 section § 383.35 (c) calls for 10 years employment history. Please suggest!

    Anyway either style it's no large deal. All they want to know is if there is any space like jail time on your work history. Don't lie because you could be done before y'all even start.

  7. GASHAULER: Your statement is partially true. A driver is required under 391 to list all employers for the previous 3-years. In addition, an applicant must list all motor carrier employment for 7 additional years. If the applicant hasn't driven just 3 years and so that's all need be shown on the application.

    I think we were speaking in the same direction but I wanted to clarify this.

  8. I'chiliad lamentable only I read information technology different. Section C states you need to list all employers for 10 years and section C1 states if you drove commercially yous must list names and address. That's what my company did years ago when I went at that place in 90. I showed I hade some military machine time but had to list all my trucking jobs by contacts and addresses. No where does §383.35 speak of 3 years. But really the point of the whole subject here was to tell the truth on the chore application and if the employer but wants and so much data that's there problem and the driver should be covered if he tells the truth.
  9. GAS: Here is the applicable data. Part 383.35 (to which you lot are probably referring) is not the applicative role assuming I am reading your post correctly.. The applicable part is 391.21(b)(10) and (11). Department 391.21(c) only states that a motor carrier may ask for more than information than what is required in department (b). At (ten) the dominion requires all employment for the previous iii-years. At (11) the requirement is all trucking experience for 7-boosted years.

    In that location is no section (c)(1) in part 391.
